Hi all,

I have a garage door opening system from Automatic Technology Australia (ATA), model GDO-2v7. I am very keen to add it to my home automation list, using Apple Home Kit on the Apple TV. I have been reading up on this MyQ product which sells on Amazon for $80 US: https://www.amazon.com/Chamberlain-Smart-Garage-Opener-MYQ-G0301/dp/B075H7Z5L8/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&qid=1525467201&sr=8-4&keywords=smart+garage+door+opener&linkCode=sl1&tag=hoistnow-20&linkId=a75e62a92c6f54ab8ef37ad57b058d72

Does anyone have any experience with this, and any recommendation on whether this will be compatible with my garage system?

Or if you have any other recommendations to achieve the same (other than installing a whole new garage opening system), that would be great.

Thanks!

01EG:

Takuan: Hm, I would prefer a more plug and play type approach, hence my interest in the MyQ option. I am not sure if I get it to work otherwise :-).

I don't know how more it simple can be, just connect and its ready to go, of course you need internet in your garage. :)

Just nervous that I can't get the wiring done... And on top of that they don't seem available to buy anymore...
