I have an old Philips SceneSwitch LED bulb, the type that offers three brightness levels by toggling the light switch... Are there any alternatives out there like this currently? The other normal Philips LED in the room suddenly died the other day. I've put in a 3000K 1050 lm replacement bulb from a different brand and it is quite different in color temperature to the original 3000K Phillips bulb and doesn't match the Philips SceneSwitch bulb on the other side of the room. I think I prefer the 3000K on the replacement bulb though and if I could get a bulb in the same temp that is dimmable that would be ideal.

Have a look also at the Lifx bulbs: https://themarket.com/nz/search?s=lifx&sc=s

You can also get a $20 voucher using a referral (which gives me a $20 voucher too): https://themarket.com/nz/referral?rkey=a3a0c98c0036071d858f04133580012d

You can also buy packs of them from Go Wireless who are the supplier of Lifx here in NZ: https://www.gowifi.co.nz/internetofthingsiot/hb4l3a19mtw08e27.html Edit: Bayonet fittings: https://www.gowifi.co.nz/internetofthingsiot/hb4l3a19mtw08b22.html

The advantage with these is you're able to change the colour temperature and brightness as a group straight from your phone and the last setting gets saved to the bulb if you still want to use the lightswitch. Be warned though, you'll be entering a rabbit hole with smart bulbs as you'll always want more.

I've got Philips Hue in the house and they require a hub where in my Mancave I've got Lifx which have excellent brightness and colours (if you go for the coloured bulbs).

The Mi Bulbs are cheap, but they're not without their issues. I've had a few fail on me due to overheating and I've found they're sometimes not reliable with reconnecting to WiFi. The Lifx bulbs don't heat up as much and are also smaller + brighter and are actually brighter and have better colours than my Philips Hue bulbs too.

Awesome thanks. Shame themarket don't have Lifx with bayonet fitting to be to use the referral voucher. Would you definitely recommend the Lifx over Philips Hue?
