Hope someone has some knowledge about this. Granddad is stuck in the hospital at the moment getting his knee fixed. Biggest issue is he is getting easily bored sitting there with nothing to do.

He likes building things and cars so I was thinking about getting him a RC car kit to keep him occupied. Issue is I don't have any ideas on what kit would be best. All I know is it needs to be complicated, electric and require as few tools as possible.

Anybody have any ideas on kits that would fit this bill or know of shops that know what there talking about? It will need to be a place in NZ as I need it before he gets discharged.

Geoff

There is a model shop on Victoria Street in Wellington CBD who seem to stock various kits. Where in the country are you looking?

Hard to get kits nowadays. The hobby shop on Victoria has a few. I think there's a toy store in Auckland that stocks them. Google for Tamiya. Oh BTW some Toy Worlds stock Tamiya kits, phone around first I guess.

Thanks Everyone. Will have to go and have a look around tomorrow.

Forgot about Tamiya was not that long ago that I was putting those hyperdash models together. Most of the hobby shops I used to go into around the auckland shut down years ago.

Hobycity is a good real shop, not the phantom things popping up on the internet. Can't comment on price, but it is a good store. They are in Lunn Avenue, Mt Wellington next to Mitre10.
