Hello everyone

Got me the weather station other day .all Set up and uploading my weather station data to wunderground ... Just want to know can I independently get the data from weather station and or does it always have to go b the wunderground...I heard there's "WUHU" software that uploads to PC.

I use to have a weather station by the same Manufacture a few years ago and used Cumulus http://sandaysoft.com/ to get the data off it and post it to the internet from there.

I will have to see if the updated model's to what I had let you push to the data directly to the internet now too.

I have seen people using a raspberry pi to present a fake wunderground to these type of weather stations inorder to get the data for home automation use. But really is was never sold as doing that so if they did a software update on them to start using SSL or to actually validate things then that would all break.

I think that's a driver in weewx (which I run with my fineoffset devicde) which receives the data and stores in an sql db, plus passes to WU.

If that wasn't going to work, you could try using the WU API and downloading the data that way?

Sorry, I mean my fine offset, which is USB based.

I basically got the PI, and installed weewx using a script. It then has a setup script where you tell it what your station name, latlong, devices type is and it stats the service

I don't know linux at all well, but the install docs were easy to follow.  For the interceptor driver, it appears you login to to IP yu found for your weather station, and point it to the Pi, and the interceptor driver picks up the data and stores it away.

Weewx publishes its data to apache on the pi also so you can see it internally. I have it there, WU, & the UK metservice (so it appears on NZ met service)

https://github.com/matthewwall/weewx-interceptor

Thats the driver. It looks a little complicated, but is probably easier when looking at screen output. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

I would say you are out of luck. Your station is just a re branded fine offset station.

http://www.foshk.com/Wifi_Weather_Station/HP1000.html

These type report directly to WU and I have not seen anybody yet intercept and use that data. Cumulus won't do it and neither will WEEWX.

They run a different protocol to the other stations.

This is what I use and it works perfectly.

The HP1000 is supported under weewx, http://www.weewx.com/hardware.html

Is the OP station a weathersleuth? https://github.com/weewx/weewx/wiki/weathersleuth

This talks about changing the IP address to point to weewx and using the interceptor driver to grab it. Data should appear as:

GET /weatherstation/updateweatherstation.php?ID=weather&PASSWORD=password&tempf=39.7&humidity
=86&dewptf=36.0&windchillf=39.7&winddir=255&windspeedmph=0.00&windgustmph=0.
00&rainin=0.00&dailyrainin=0.00&weeklyrainin=0.00&monthlyrainin=0.00&yearlyrainin=0.00&solarradiation=0.00&UV=
0&indoortempf=67.8&indoorhumidity=46&baromin=30.08&lowbatt=0&dateutc=2016-4-30%2022:7
:9&softwaretype=Weather%20logger%20V2.1.9&action=updateraw&realtime=1&rtfreq=5 HTTP/1.0

Which I think is what I see when weewx sends my data to WU.

Cool , sorry my bad I did not realise it had been updated to include it.

weewx is very powerful and a very excellent choice of software as you can pretty much do what you want with it.

I only use 1/10th of it, but it runs well on the pi, which apart from being a WOL server does nothing else.

I have a $90 weather station (WH2081) with USB from 1-day so not entirely sure on it's accuracy. Home automaton is the next step, but I have now got as smart things hubs which has it's own temp sensors, so may not use the station.
