Hi

I have a pile of mp3 cd's downloaded over the years using winmx and limewire. I am having problems loading them into itunes, it is literally taking an hour per tune. Why is this happening-copy protection (some are years old before this started) or the pc having trouble reading the disks?

Thanks in advance.

It's probably because you are trying to add that stolen music.  I'd assume it's sending the details to Apple/RIAA/RIANZ etc during the process.

Tip:

When you register on a forum don't put your real name and lcoation in your public profile (especially living in a New Zealand territory), then post about stuff that is very likely illegal (unless of course you own the copyright to all the music you downloaded from WinMX and LimeWire).

It took me about ten seconds to find a photo of you online, and probably about 5 minutes to get your address if I was investigating copyright infringement...
