Hi all.

Has anyone managed to set a New Zealand news source with their Google Home devices?

I don't see any available within the Google Home app, the closest is for Australia.  To be honest I don't feel the need to hear the Aussie headlines first thing in the morning!

Imo none of the sources are listenable really. Are there any good ones?

I must admit I like the Echo when I say Alexa - give my daily flash briefing and I hear RNZ news. But on the GH I get US stuff. Not a biggie since I have both but it would be nice if they added a few NZ news sources. After all how hard could that be?

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

I just say 'Alexa - what's the news' and she gives me the RNZ flash briefing.  Fantastic.  We have both but I'm leaning towards alexa

Until Google Home, and for that matter Google Assistant, are officially supported in NZ you won't be able to get a flash briefing. There were rumours of November this year, which has subsequently been pushed to April next year for us to get it. Every opportunity Google gives me for feedback, I comment about how much the current situation sucks.
I have both GA and Alexa set up so each is useful in its own way.
