Hi.

I have a Paradox MG5050 Alarm with a PCS250 GSM Communication Module.

I need to delete the phone numbers that sms messages are sent to from the GSM Module. I have both the manual for the alarm and for the GSM module and they both have instructions on how to enter numbers for the module to send text messages, but neither of them show how to remove the numbers.

I'd set it up so as that a family member of mine would get sms message of any activations; as we'd locked up the house to go overseas for a couple of months. I now need to delete their number from the system, as they've now moved to a different city.

Keypad I have is K10LEDV.

Any help appreciated. Thanks

Hi, as per manual follow the below instructions to navigate to the number in question. With Paradox systems, pressing and holding SLEEP tells it to delete the entry so give that a try. Otherwise you might have to enter a number like 000000000 or alternatively if you have the installer code turn SMS reporting off.

1) To access Master Programming, press the key that looks like an on/off button.
2) Enter [MASTER CODE].
3) To enter SMS Setup, press [ARM].
4) Using the SLEEP and [STAY] keys, select one of the
eight telephone numbers you wish to program and press
[ENTER].
5) Enter or modify the phone number - up to 32 characters. To
go to the next screen press [ENTER].
6) Select the SMS Event Call Options you wish to apply to the
telephone number.
7) To save press [ENTER].
8) Select which areas are assigned to this telephone number.
To save, press [ENTER].

Edit: Options for each number:

Event Call Options
Option Events that send SMS
[1] Any Alarm
[2] Arming and Disarming
[3] Any Trouble
[4] Any Trouble Restore
[5] to [8] Future Use

So if holding SLEEP on the record for that number doesn't work, you can turn all those options off and it will not report anything to that number.

Thanks @snnet. That worked by holding the Sleep key down in place of entering the phone number. It cleared the memory of the entry.

Great - good to know. I only did a few of the GSM modules pre IP150 and couldn't recall if it was that but SLEEP seems to be delete in Paradox programming
