Hi there,

We have a small warehouse that requires an internal camera that can detect motion and record to local storage with both lights on and off. We would try and place the camera somewhere where it’s not obvious. This is just a small security measure to allow couriers with access to pickup items that have been booked.

We have no internet access unless there is someone on site with a phone wifi hotspot.

Any suggestions without buying a full cctv type system?

Thanks

Simon

buy an NVR+HDD and a camera to go with it will cost less than 500 up and running, all recorded locally.

Many IP cameras can take a SD card in them for local recording, then you can just connect up to it and play the stored files. Prob easiets to get an old router to give wifi for your phone to connect to and then ethernet to the camera.

Keep the camera visible so it will act as a deterrent. Better to not have something stolen than have to do the hard work to recover the loss.

A full system does not need internet access.

An NVR makes for an easier dedicated and simple solution that just works. Plug in a mouse and screen and be done. Don’t have to worry about a pc that needs windows updates etc.

Consider more than one camera. An NVR will allow ease of expansion.

Don’t rely on motion. Have it recording 24/7. Compression handles the rest.
