Im just looking at PBtech as not sure where else is easy access etc.

Anyway, so they have Mi 10000mah PB for $40

But they also have the brand "Promote" for $27

Is there any big difference between them? They seem to get similar reviews.

I got this one https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/BAPMIX005785/Xiaomi-Power-Bank-10000mAh-Pocket-Edition-Pro-33W because I wanted something faster. It just says quick charge on my phone so I dont know if its doing the claimed 33 watts or not. It works my soldering iron fine tho which was the main thing I wanted it for.

I've had one of the Promate ones for a year or so and it works well; son has one also and seems happy with it.  Can't comment on the Xiaomi ones

Sorry, off topic, but would you mind weighting the powerbank. I'm after something lightweight... preferable under 200g
my current around 300g is just a dash heavy.

and yes, it's for hiking :D

I have one of these too - I use it for charging my tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, 8000 mAh battery).  I got it because I wanted something that would charge at a decent rate - the tablet is rated at 45 watts.  The power bank is rated at 33 watts, but as far as I can tell it charges just as fast as my Samsung 45 watt charger.  I am seriously impressed.  I just weighed mine and without cables it was 203 g - but because it is so compact, it does actually feel heavy.  I think the price has gone up since I bought mine though.

220g for the 10000 mAh one, according to my kitchen scales

My son has the 20Ah one with digital display, but can't weigh that because he's off hiking

Cheers, will check that out. I do like the idea of a fast charging model, but is prob not super important for our needs.

I was starting to think a 20k mah model might be a good idea, that would give a enough number of charges to 4000mah phone battery Id have thought.

I much prefer a lower capacity battery with PD than a higher capacity one that is slow.

If I need a power bank I want to charge quickly then get on with life. We have some Charmast power banks that are 10400mah, 18W output and are tiny. They are excellent for travel and easily give us a full day away from power with heavy use.
