Just wondering if anyone else is using the Sharp Zaurus SL-5500 here in NZ.

I got mine from e-Bay and it's sweet!

Hi
Used to have a Zaurus but after numerous quirks with the software and complete disownership by Sharp of the problems I got rid of it.

It was simple things like Summer Time etc. Can't remeber the actual problem but it was so patently wrong I wrote to Sharp HQ etc but they said there wasn't a issue. If I remember there summer time system worked by subtracting an hour from every other time zone in question and not adding an hour to yours. Now you may get the same results but this is totally wrong and wreaked havoc with some places as it put their zones to the wrong time. ie for NZ it would keep it static so this created the UK on GMT - 1 hour. Well that never happens - no one ever goes back from standard time - period!!!

So cutting a short story long I dumped it and wrote to Sharp NZ etc and told them what I thought. So hope things like this have been resolved.

I'm not in NZ at the moment but I do have a Zaurus 5500 on the desk beside me, with a Linksys Wireless LAN CF card which is pretty handy :)
