Hi there,

I need some help with allowing my kindle 3g to connection with my home wireless network.

I have been able to successfully connect with other wireless networks i.e. work so no issues with the wifi on the Kindle.

I have a Thomson TG585 v7 and have had a look at the settings but can't figure out what i need to change.

Your help would be appreciated,

thanks

It should just work. Just put in your WPA key when it asks for it.

Perhaps change the channel on your access point? Check that it's not locked down to some MAC addresses only?

Are you using WPA or WPA2? (PSK) Any MAC address filtering? How many bars is the signal?

Have you tried it right next to the wifi AP?

Can you connect other devices to your wifi network?

Thanks for the help, got it up and running now. Have to take this one on the chin. I changed my wireless password a while ago and was trying to use an older password. Oh the humiliation!

Actually I had to fiddle to get my WIFI only kindle 3 to connect to a Thomson - the default encryption wasn't right - I manually changed it to WPA2 and it was OK
