Ragnor: Yes tons of free books available, if they are already in kindle friendly format you can just download them on your PC/Mac and copy them to the Kindle via USB.

Thanks sitting here going yes no yesthe exchange rate is so good at the moment as well. Think I would go for just the Wifi version, cant see a need for the 3G for me personally. Is there an advantage doing it thru Geekzone or is it a help for the site?
tallmaninthecnr: Thanks all pretty sure I will order one tonight when I get home - one last question and that is if there is a problem/fault where does it get returned to?

Asrafrate: See if you can find blogs that do listings of what Kindle books are free for that day.
I follow these two, but I am sure there are more out there:

My kindle was shipped on Friday 3rd June....
It arrived in Auckland, on Sunday 5th June....
It arrived in Tauranga Wed 8th June...
Point being.... it took longer to get from Auckland to Tauranga than from Phoenix AZ to Auckland.
Still, shipping was remarkably quick.
