Sadly, I think all 4 top brands have been voted "Best in Class" at some stage.

Funny how the importers/sellers of a product can come up with such glowing endorsements which best suit their wares.

Possibly slightly cynical responses.

Interesting to see that the Kindle Touch wasn't included in their line-up.

I was keen on getting a kindle until playing with the new one in a Dick Smiths which totally put me off. Ended up getting the Kobo Touch and love it. I guess they're close enough that it's almost straight personal preference now as they're all great for different people. I preferred the Kobo interface over the Kindle but there's bound to be others that are the opposite.

It's nice to see that at least there's some competition in the area now which is evident by the sudden rush of products.

If that is the unit I saw in Whitcoulls the other day then I was underwhelmed. The reading experience was mediocre at best (I find Nook on an Android much better) but I did notice it was running Android 2.3.

I think there are much better options out there including the B&N Nook which has access to a much larger range of content.
