Hey All (New User here)

I am after a white Kindle 3g+wifi but whenever I try to purchase it via Amazon.com it tells me that the white one is not for use/sale outside the United States and re-directs me via a link to the same model in graphite only that states it "works globally" wheres the white model did not explicitly state this. I have some friends in the States that I could deliver the white Kindle too (or could use a mail forwarding service) but I don't want to buy it for it come all the way to NZ and not work. If anyone out there has managed to get hold of a white kindle through Amazon would like to hear from you.  Thanks Smile

It will work in NZ. If you look at some of the past threads plenty of others have done so (not with the white but they all use the same 3G setup) just be aware that in NZ 3G will only allow you to buy books and use Wikipedia.

When you do order it please use the Geekzone link as it helps to keep the lights on here :)

Sorry to slightly highjack this thread, I brought a 3G kindle from the US, is there anyway to get free (any website) 3G in New Zealand?

Thanks

That will work only temporarily. Buying the books and browsing from out of the USA at some stage will bring your account to attention and it will be locked - with any gift card balance in it. As per the link you could ask someone to send a fake evidence of residence, but if you don't know anyone...
