Yesterday I thought I would take advantage of audible.com's free 30 day trial. After downloading my free book and thinking this is great I realised I won't get the value out of it to make it worthwhile subscribing. I thought no problem this is a free 30 day trial. However when trying to change my subscription the website just takes me on an eternal loop where the cancel subscription button dosn't do what it says. I tried calling the phone number for international customers but it didn't work. Has anyone else had this problem? Help please.

Maybe it is your web browser. I cancelled mine several years ago without a problem. If they offer those sorts of deals, they should make it easy to cancel, or not opt you in to a subscription automatically.

The problem is now resolved. My computer & phone use safari which had the problem. But on trying through Firefox on someone else's computer my cancellation was successful. So yay but I wonder why it didn't work in safari??

Because people code websites to work with Internet Explorer specifically rather than conforming to HTML standards.

I have found cancelling Audible a real pain.  I subscribe to Audible on and off as I need books, cos once you cancel, you can no longer use your credits and they mount up.  Once you have cancelled once on line, they subsequently require you to cancel by phone, regardless of how long it has been since you cancelled last time.

Not the last time I cancelled, no.  So hence my brassed-off-edness with Audible.com.
