The good folks at Geosmart (an AA owned company) have given us three licences of MetroView NZ to giveaway.

The interesting thing about MetroView NZ is that you can buy maps for specific cities/regions instead of paying for a whole country map. You can read more about it here.

To be in to win,  just reply here telling us which map app you are currently using.

I will draw three winners on the 22nd September 2011 and send the codes via PM.

Good luck folks!

I used Waze for a while but it was a huge battery hog, so now I just limp on with the built-in Maps app. Voice prompting is a sad, sad omission. Wants me a REAL map app.

EDIT: and it would be really cool to have one before I fly off to SFO for OpenWorld!

I try and use NavFree for Australia and New Zealand. Doesn't really work terribly well for me. Might be cos I've dropped my phone a couple of times too many. Looking forward to an upgrade to a new iPhone very shortly...a new Nav app would be perfect!

I use Tomtom on 3GS but sometime it gives problem where it lost gps lock and the map is not really that up to date. Would be nice to have something that is developed locally with local support too..

The person sitting on the passanger seat usually acts as a map. No matter who it is, they all have their own freakin opinion on which route I should take.

But at times, I just use the default Maps app on iPhone that uses Google maps. But that chews into my 3G data.

Cheers.

That's quite a good concept giving one city try before you put all your $$$ down on the rest of the country. I have been using Ndrive for over a year now on my 3GS but is a discontinued app and maps are now a little out of date. I recently purchased Sygic for $41. Polished app but poor routing. Look forward to winning a copy of this new app!
