Can't decide if this post or the other one (by someone else) is more commercial.

Under the Consumer Guarantees Act everyone gives a 'warranty' in NZ... The question is what connection the seller has to Apple, to have access to service  or parts.

Mailorder seller of discounted Apple hardware, AppleCare warranties, Mac RAM and all Adobe products, in New Zealand, Australia, Pacific Islands, UK, Germany, France, South Africa, Ireland, Poland and Spain.

Lina: I realise I must be careful not to make this a commercial post... but I would still like to reply to the above... TechBrands provides a "TechCare" warranty, if any person is interested in more details about that there is more details on the site about the warranty in general, applicable to all products.

I think you need to rewrite your warranty..."equivalent to", "such as", "various locations". That's specific!

welliegeek: I was in MagnumMac buying a new MBP and was told the 20th July.

Take with the appropriate amount of salt........

It will be interesting to see whether they take pre-orders or whether they go straight out for general availability.

Considering that supply appears to still be very constrained here in Australia I would think that initially there will be very limited stock and very high demand when the New Zealand launch eventually happens. That makes me think that they will take pre-orders at least a couple of weeks out from general availability, but time will tell.

Incidentally, in a lot of phones you don't need an adaptor to use a MicroSIM. Phones with the SIM slot type where you slide the SIM underneath a metal tab that holds the SIM by friction will hold a microSIM just fine. You might need to adjust it's position, although it's not too fussy.

I've got one in a Huawei U121 for example right now.

Obviously it won't work in all phones, but just in case you have a handset like that you won't need a carrier.

I have a $10 pre-order spot with MagnumMac, but since I literally JUST bought a new iMac, I'm not gonna get one now. :/

I am. Simply to play Plants vs Zombies and Battle for Wesnoth. I just gotta hope Pokerstars releases an app for it. But since they have never released a phone app (citing security reaesons) I'm not holding my breath..
