My favorite ios photo apps in no particular order:
Afterlight (photo edit)
PhotoCandy (patterns and shapes)
Mextures (textures)
SplitPic (cool effect)
Phonto (text)

i've only just started looking at additional photo apps on iOS. I recently got one called Fonta which allows you to write text over the top of an image and change its attributes (size, opacity, etc)

Had a few before my camera crapped out. Used to use Snapseed.

Oh, I've never tried Fonta, I'll check it out. Yeah, Snapseed is a quality photo editing app too, but I like Afterlight because it's so simple.

Haven't heard of Afterlight, will have to have a look when I get a new phone.
