Who else is waiting for Apple's refesh on Macs, particularly the MacBook Pro?
Allegedly, someone emailed Tim Cook asking what was up, and this was his response.
Rumors suggest October.

Do people really care about Macs? Macbooks, yes, but desktops?
Think they're trying to skip Skylake and head straight in for Kaby Lake thats later this year.
I have a late 2015 5K 4Ghz i7 with pretty much all the bells and whistles.
It chews through just about anything I ever need to do - for example it rendered 100 stills with audio into a Quicktime movie yesterday in well under a minute.
I love my desktop. Laptops are fine if you actually do need to be able to move your computer around, but otherwise, not so much....

That would be nice.
I'm a MacBook Pro fan but it would have to be pretty special for me to upgrade. I have a mid-2014 15" Pro with i7, 16GB RAM and it does everything I need in a fairly lightweight package - for a 15" laptop.
I love my iMac 27" which is around 4 years old now... Still has plenty of power, but very keen to update it once new models are out...
Looking at the getting rid of the desktop and get me a new Macbook.
Balm its gone!

Ditto, i7, plenty of RAM, SSD, it still blazes away,
Yeah, I'm currently using a nearly 5 year old Samsung laptop! So this is what I plan to upgrade to.
I would like to see Apple slim down the case quite a bit. The current case for the 13" is the same as my ancient 2010 MacBook. Reducing the bezels and maybe just maybe offering touch screen but I don't think we will see that.
The MBP range is about 2 years overdue for a major and much needed facelift, I stopped using them because they were just too heavy compared to the competition.

Do you mean the non-retina one? the retina one is thinner
I find my 13" retina MBP really thin and light, but admittedly I'd be benchmarking it against the corporate laptops we have at work which are probably at least 10 years old!

if you are after thin and light then you are looking at the wrong sku....
the MBP is designed for power
the Air on the other hand is thin and light..
