Hi

Whilst looking at prices for Iphone 6's came across this website

nz.nd-bd.com

Keen to hear if anyone has ever brought from them and what they are like to deal with.

From what I can gather they are based in the UK.

No domains registered in NZ (that I can see) or registered with the companies office.

Basically trying to do my homework before parting with my hard earned $$

Is this enough of a deterrent?

If its too cheap to be true...

Drop the .nz and search, I did so and added 'experience' and the first hit was across the ditch. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/292731

About 5 months ago I also looked at these guys.  Search found plenty of unhappy customers with no phones and out of pocket.  Also they had no clue re the NZ customs threshold for GST.

Summary : Bad reviews, No warranty or protection in NZ, you will get a 15% GST surprise from customs if something is even shipped.

Here is the Chat transcript I retained - apologies for the typos :). Was way to risky for me even to consider after this.

Hi Sarah - have been considering NDBD for an refurm iphone.

Reviews on Australian sites are not good re product availabiulity and customer service

Refurbished iphone 6

12:26

What is availability of iphone 6 128gb

12:27

I completely apologize in the reviews, that bothers you, we admit that we experience a delay in suppliers stocks delivery.

Please give me 2-3 minutes to double check this item for you.

12:28

as per checking the item processing time prior to shipping is 5-7 days

12:28

I am based in NZ not Australia, just researching NDBD to ensure you are not a scam site.

Is there a $10 off for NZ?

12:29

for the coupon code yes it flashes in the website

for the discount voucher

12:29

IN NZ as well as AU?

12:30

Last question, do you issue a NZ tax Invoice with a GST number for NZ purchases.

12:31

OK - offer not on NZ website, not an issue as I do not have facebook anyway.

12:32

I do apologize we have no tax invoice offered only sales invoice.

12:33

as items below $1000 is tax free and above is processed by customs for tax

Not bought from them but I wouldn't ever think of doing it. Local is better.
