My iPod touch's Home button got stuffed yesterday - it somehow broke to the fact that it doesn't pop back up (so you can't "click" it), but applying pressure on it barely gets it working.

I'm considering getting repaired under warranty, but I want to know how long it usually takes from taking it to the retailer for repairs to a complete repair.

I may also hold back if rumours of a new iPod touch are true...

when i got my iphone mini 'fixed' or rather replaced for a new one under warranty (battery issues), it took them about a week to get me a new one. This was from an apple office on great south rd.

"iphone mini"? Do you mean iPod mini?

My last apple repair took approximately 3 weeks. That was through service agents in Auckland.

Not particularly impressed, the experience has meant that when it comes to upgrade time that I'll probably look for a brand that doesn't have the same service issues.
