My library is full (storage full - get more) How do I back up old photos and clear space looked at icloud windows but that's another 3rd party is there an easy way to free up space I don't want buy storage just need to back up.  And delete old phot's.

 

Can you do with my Qnap NAS ?

On Android I run Resilio Sync (apple store link) to get photos to my PC, then I delete them from the phone. The PC is backed up of course.

Photosync on iOS is quite good.  But yes, make sure you have backups .or paid for apple icloud storage.

I use OneDrive to back up my iPhone photos and manually back them up to the second hard drive on my pc every few days.

Sounds like its your iCloud thats full, not your phone. It's fairly low cost for the lowest iCloud, worth paying for as an insurance IMO.
