Hi

First post here, although I've lurked for a while:->

I moved here from Ireland earlier in the year and brought my iPhone.  I jailbroke and unlocked it (originally locked to O2 Ireland), and it works fine for voice and text, but no matter what I try I cannot get it to access the internet on 3G.  I have tried several suggestions posted here including unlockit.co.nz, but to no avail.  I have also tried my SIM (post-pay Vodafone SIM with iPhone plan) in my Blackberry and it access the internet ok, so it looks like the phone.  It was working ok in Ireland...

Has anyone any ideas before I chuck it into the sea?  It's driving me mad!

Thanks

Thanks, that was one of the first things I tried, both entering it manually and also using unlockit.co.nz.  Still no luck.  I also tried the various other combinations posted here with similar lack of success.

sorry, are you actually on the vodafone iphone plan? or a generic vodafone plan?

if you are on a iphone specific plan, you need to use the iphone APN?

Thanks Dan

I'm on the iPhone plan. I've tried the iPhone APN but no luck. Vodafone themselves told me to use the www.vodafone.net.nz APN.

maybe try your sim in a non blackberry and see if the data works? the blackberry might have been using a blackberry APN so might not be a good test?
