Alot of us are wondering if we should purchase an iPhone or the palm pre. I will be buying the new iPhone just because it has 50,000+ apps and it supports iTunes. For those that are trying to make up their mind there is a video comparing the two.

The inductive Charging option on the pre looks amazing.

The Pre appeals to me, as I am still using an old PalmTreo unit. I like the fact that I would be able to take my PalmApps with me onto the new Pre. And it's not Windows mobile based.

kind regards Andrew TD

How would you do that? It's a completely new, different OS between the Palm Pre and the old Palm units...

I had read somewhere that it came with a utility to allow old PamOS apps to work on the Palm pre.
I just googled and found this article that suggests a 3rd party provides utilities to do that.
Either way, it seems the Palm Pre is the only opportunity I have to move my beloved SplashID app & data across.

kind regards Andrew TD

Yeah - "Classic" app. Just drag your prc files across it seems...

Here's a video: http://www.engadget.com/2009/04/02/palm-pre-classic-emulator-demoed-on-video/

not yet, they'll be shooting themselves in the foot if they didn't think of bringing out a GSM variant.
