Hi all

Anyone know if the new 3GS is going to be pre-orderable?  I can't remember if the the 3G was so have no idea about this time.

I'm sure they won't be anything until the plans are announced but was wondering if history could tell us which was VF (or TC) might go.

They did pre-registrations for the iPhone last time but it didn't get you anything. You still needed to que like everyone else (no benefit at all from registration).

With the G2 recently, those that preregistered got an extra $100 off from memory (I can remember if you could guarantee a unit on the first day as I didn't get one).

Do people think the new iPhones will sell out quickly?

They have in parts of the world..... I would think it's unlikely in NZ but it depends on how much stock Apple allows VF/TC.

How quickly have they sold out in the fastest selling countries?

I've been given approval by head office to get one (32GB), but don't fancy standing in line in the cold at midnight with a bunch of dweebs just to get my hands on one.  But I want one for the weekend...

@satch - I don't thnk it's been hours but certainly within a couple of days.  I also have been given the OK from work and am in the same situation as you re: not wanting to line up which is the reason for my original question. If I can pre-order and then wander in at some stage during Friday then that would be perfect :)

LOL :) I can relate........... Luckily for me work means work (and the ensuing lack of personal financial impact)

VF surely must release some more details soon. That's unless 10 July might be slipping...

I'm just at Uni, and just curious, how do you get your work to buy you one? Is there miles of forms to fill out, or do you just ask your boss or something?
