Hi peeps,

I have a question about activating a brand new iPhone.  Let me give a brief background so you understand where I am coming from.

I've just purchased a brand new 3G iPhone (not the 3G S) for my girlfriend.  She is an existing VF customer and will use her existing sim card on its existing plan in the iPhone.  But she is away at the moment so I do not have access to her sim card.

I would like to activate the new phone and set it up for her while she is away.  Note I want to activate it and not jail break it or anything fancy like that.  Can I do this using my VF sim card (which incidentally lives in my 3G S - I don't think that will have any relevance), and then simply pop her sim card in it when she returns?  Or will her sim card not work in it after I've activated it with my sim card?

Any help will be appreciated.  Hopefully this is a no brainer...

No brainer. Activating just kicks it into gear. Any SIM post that will work.

Cheers for the answer.  I assumed so but I just wanted to check.
