Hi,

I'm going to Thailand for conference meeting for two weeks.

Since Vodafone's global roaming offers $30/mb, I have to get prepaid sim card for iPhone during my holiday.

Does anyone would like to suggest any product and does it possible to access data using iPhone in Thailand after all?

Always thanks for your answers in advance.

Cheers

Shin

Geez. People sure aren't keen to search for results themselves.

From a few keywords and with Google, I can find this info regarding what network operators there are in Thailand - http://www.gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/cou_th.shtml

And an apparently Thai GSM info - http://www.thaigsm.info/

And from Vodafone NZ's Roaming - Destination and Pricing page, looks like they partnered with 3 network providers: Truemove, AIS and TAC.

Search for those companies' website then you should be able to get pricing plans and information.

All these just less than 5 mins of search and digging info.

Use Google and do a bit of search by your own effort first...

And from my reading... looks like TrueMove is the only network provider in Thailand that has 3G support... but it's hard to make head-or-tail from their weird behaving website, which doesn't always show English content.

If anything, this is TrueMove iPhone pricing+plan+microsite: http://www.truemove.com/iphone/eng/index.htm

TrueMove Prepay for new customers: http://www.truemove.com/en/prepay-newcustomer-sim.rails
TrueMove Prepay promotions: http://www.truemove.com/en/prepay-newcustomer-promotion.rails
TrueMove 3G+WiFi service: http://www.truemove.com/en/05_service_3g.html

Something about WiFi/EDGE/GPRS: http://www.truemove.com/en/banner_wifi_edge_gprs_pre.html
Then minute-based EDGE/GPRS: http://www.truemove.com/en/prepay-newcustomer-promotion-detail.rails?Id=12

And some seems like solely aimed for Thai only as there's no "translation" to those products...
