I wonder if John can improve on the industry standard 'SOON' for all of us here?
Can it really be that hard to provide an actual date?
Midnight launch?
Pre-orders?
It would be great to hear from someone who actually cares and even better knows!

Well from what I have read in Aussie it's due for release here in Australia at the end of this month. Nothing concrete yet though.

Steve Jobs said July in his keynote for us and some other countries. Hopefully he wasn't lying

It's looking like July 23rd for Aussie, according to the rumour mill (staff being asked to arrive at work early that day, no Annual Leave being offered for that day). So I would think we'd be either the 23rd or maybe the 30th.

Or maybe we'll get shafted like we have for the iPad ??why has that already been out in Aussie for over a month?

There has been no official news here in Aussie so I guess Apple hasn't told the telcos yet.

I think it'll be more a case of Apple has told the telcos but the info is embargoed until xx July. I'm sure they're all gagging to release the info, especially in Oz where there are four telcos all selling iPhone 4 ??whoever gets their pre-order system up first will probably lead the pack for the first few days.

What if though - and it's a big if - Apple does decide to do a bit of hardware tweaking to 'fix' the antenna issues? I'm hoping that won't happen as the issue seems to be blown out of proportion (not that I've experienced it hands-on).

iphone is overrated - when the zombies attack and society falls you'll be wishing you'd put that extra $1000 into a shotgun and a few cases of ammo. Suddenly face time won't seem so important.

Sorry - I watched Dawn of the Dead again last night.

The Plants vs Zombies and Zombie farm iPhone apps are good training for when the zombies attack.

With facetime you can call your friends and see if they have any bite or scratch marks.

Zombie detection, I am sure there is an app for that.

Zombie Land was one of the best Zombie films I have seen.

Gotta love Bill Murry in Zombieland. and the 32 Rules.

My only concern is that I might hold my iphone 4 in a non-Jobs approved manner during 'facetime bite inspections' and loose the call.

I guess I could always use the iphone to distract the living dead while I make an escape.

This is evidence enough to me that Vodafone do indeed have a date but are choosing not to let us know what it is.
