You have a new iPhone 4 - now what? Tell us what's so magical about it.

What you like most? What you love? What you hate? Where did you buy it?

I had one for a couple of weeks courtesy of Parallel Imported. The screen is the best screen I've ever seen on a mobile device. The battery was OK (compared to the 3GS running iOS4 which chugs the battery)

Other than that, it's not much different to the 3GS. Speed is comparable.

But going back to the 3GS after that screen, it feels like everything is in soft-focus.

The screen is the most amazing part of the iPhone 4. Feature wise I no longer have a separate HD video cam, so for me this is the biggest plus.

Cheers

The screen and the camera, which are the two reasons I wanted it. The 3GS screen is almost depressing after using the iPhone 4.

I was 8th at St Lukes (thanks for the info Ben), and the queue was over 50 people by 12pm.

I was third in and first out the door at Vodafone Queen St. Took a few attempts to get the sim tray to pop out but since then all seems to have gone well. iTunes said something couldn't be completed as there was a store error - typical - but the phone claimed it was activated and seems to be doing fine :).

The screen is the most striking improvement up front; when I saw one in person a few weeks back was when I knew I was definitely going to get a 4. Then it's always interesting showing people how much faster launch times are, just with the settings app as a good benchmark.

Now it's syncing apps. I set it up fresh and laid out pretty folders in iTunes but it may actually have ignored that ><.

Ultimately the 1 hour wait was child's play compared to my 8 hours of '08, and goodness knows a midnight launch this time would have saved us all a lot of anxiety :D. Cheers.

Got one from the First Mobile dealership in West City - about 10th in line.  They ran out of the conversion micro sims while I was there (apparently if you convert from prepay to contract they give you a 'special sim card') though I did not hear anybody groan in disappointment when this was announced.

I needed a new phone for my new hire, so I got the iPhone 4 and he will get my 3GS which should be pristine under the silicone cover and screen protector.  With a young family, it was the better camera I was after and the nicer screen is a bonus.

Amongst my clients, the iPhone is the most popular smartphone.  (Blackberry and BES is a thorn in my side, but quite happy to look after Windows Smartphones which I used until recently.  Exchange ActiveSync is pretty darn good IMHO.)

Got mine, screen is impressive, taking photos are fast to save and quick to be ready to snap again. Seems theres plenty of wobbly vision on video though so hold it steady.

Grip of death is there, I loose a couple of bars if 'hold it wrong' but never loose connection so no biggie (as I thought).

Interestingly it seems we can't buy iMovie via itunes yet...

Picked up the first 32gb at Vodafone Takapuna (Really nice and helpful staff).

Came home - tried to access the free case application - and no go.  Wondering is this is limited to the US only????

Stink if so.

I can get the death grip problem, but no dropped calls yet. It seems cellotape doesn't fix it either.

Not a huge issue though
