Hi,

I wonder if someone knows where to find a case for a new iPod Touch (4G) in Auckland, or if a case for the iPhone 4 works just the same.

What sort of case do you want? Leather or silicone?

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure which one is best in terms of protection, but I prefer the touch of the silicone

Ok, well I have a silicone case here that was on a 2nd gen ipod touch. If you want it, let me know.

Thanks. The new iPod touch is a bit thinner and has a front camera so not sure how the old cases fit, so I'd like to hear the experiences of an owner of the new model :)

I just got a cheapy silicone off trade me which will do for now however cases for the iPod 4G do seem to be short on the ground. Ones for any other generation touch or iPhone will not work. The one I got has a tendency to come off quite easily so I do not think I will use it for long.
I was actually intending to post up and see if anyone has purchased one of the ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for iPod or iPhone and how they found it.

I would certainly get it covered ASAP as mine was only out for one day and even with care got a couple of small scratches.

I've used the Zagg invisible shield before, quite good, though can be difficult to install if you aren't terribly patient - trying to get it exact is a tad difficult!

Yeah did read that in a couple of reviews but I do like the idea of being able to have the iPod "naked" but not as it were.

I'm a bit paranoid with my $500 toy so sometimes I think it's going to slip, so I'll try one cheap silicone case from TradeMe .

Well my invisibleShield turned up for my iPod much to my surprise as it was sent to one of our offices in USA so I could pick it up while it was over there but was attentioned to me instead of the guy who was going to hold it for me so the mail room sent it through to me in NZ :-O

Anyway have put on the back and will put on the screen tonight. After all the stories it was a lot easier then I thought. I do now regret getting the full body option and not the full body maximum coverage but will know for next time. My concern with the full body is that does not cover the corners. I have cut out a couple of bits of the leftover InvisibleShield and put them on two of the corners so far. Bit tricky to get the right shape but happier having the corners protected.
