Howdy,

Im living in Japan and got an iPhone4 and a USB 3g modem from softbank. each of them use a sim or microsim card.

I wonder if I will be able to use this stuff in NZ when I come home next year? I imagine the iPhone should be pretty straight-forward, but Im not sure about the modem. All I know about it is that its a Softbank C02LC USB modem.

Thanks!
Leary

Your biggest issue is could well be the fact the devices are potentially locked to the network you purchased them from.

They should work if hardware is not SIM locked

Just a FYI if you bring this to New Zealand Vodafone NZ will not be able to provide official support

We can advise of things like the internet access point is www.vodafone.net.nz

Thanks John

I think all iphones sold in japan are locked to softbank.
