Last week I updated to ios 4.3 on telecom. I also got a version 3 simcard.

Now my iphone will not get reception after a reboot or exiting aeroplane mode. My work around is to pull the sim card out and slot it back in. This then gives me full bars.
I get the telecom word but no bar's. And in the CBD I get get data with no bar's but cant do anything else.

I've checked my carrier settings and they are fine. Although I cannot receive mms but can send ok.

a 2degrees simcard works in my phone no worries although my simcard does work in other iphones and non iphones.

I'm pretty stumped at this stage. I do have my shsh keys saved so I could roll back to 4.2.1.

I spoke to a guy in wellington at a mobile repair shop who said the same. Its hard to prove but I'm waiting for another simcard too.

If I can find more people with my issue then I can put some pressure on them. Otherwise it could be that I have a dodgy handset.

Interesting. I upgraded to 4.3 the day it launched and have had no issues whatsoever on XT both in the CBD (based mainly on Courtenay Place, but also move around the city a fair bit) and also in the northern suburbs (Churton Park/J-ville). Can make/receive calls, txts and MMS. Can also use data.

I did, however, notice on the weekend that sometimes the data connection would not work briefly once or twice but didn't think too much of it as I was procrastinating while in the garden anyway!

So when I put my simcard in other iphones it still  doesn't  receive mms.

After rebooting the phone and getting no reception bars I can still use data just not make or receive calls or txt messages.

weird?

For what it's worth I've been using 4.3 since the start of the month as I received it via the DEV program and it's been going perfectly well on my iPhone 4 with original MicroSIM. No problems at all.

I've fixed my mms issue by getting a new simcard. But still have to pull the sim out and in to get voice and txt. Other people here at work on version 2 sim cards and iPhone 4's are having no issues.

I am on vodofone but I have noticed that since 4.3 I have had little to no signal at work where I used to get 3-4 bars. Also data haze become almost unusable at times.

Last Wednesday/ Thursday was the worst I have noticed. And have been home sick since then so have been in wifi so not noticed

I have noticed since 4.3 that data is pretty crap, even on WiFi it sometimes just sits there doing nothing. If I disconnect then reconnect away it goes. My Wife's one works fine in the same situations and she is still on 4.2. Wish I could go back sometimes.

A guy at my work has the exact same issue. When he changes between cell towers he gets drops outs. My issue must be hardware I recon. Just need to send it off to get looked at.

Sorry to revisit this thread, my phone is in the Red Zone, hopefully recoverable shortly.

Are there any unresolved issues still with this latest iOS update? Regarding battery life, coverage, or anything else?

Thanks all
