Hi.

I am about to head off overseas and wish to create a blog whilst traveling. I plan to take my iPad as opposed to a laptop and am struggling to find a blog program that is suitable, especially when it comes to uploading photos.

Any suggestions?

Regards

Martin

Wordpress with Wordpress app.
Or Tumblr with Tumblr app.
Or Posterous with Posterous app.

Tumblr and Posterous are quick blogging and pretty easy to use. It has support for multiple blog-post-type like photos, videos, link, etc...

Hi - I haven't tried other options, but a simple method for a blogspot blog is to email your photo/s, video to a 'mobile' email address they assign to you. The subject becomes the blog header and the body copy is included with the photo/video.
I've been maintaining a blog for a couple of years from my iPhone and my wife has just blogged from a cycle tour on her iPhone - very easy.

Cheers,
Mike

I tried Wordpress with no luck. The others, from what I can gather are IPhone applications.

Can I not do a blog using the websites that are around eg. Blogspot, without having to use the apps suggested. If not, them what do these apps do?

WordPress should have iPad app.

You'd better off to make use of the iOS apps for those blog services to do blogging as you can compose offline without the need to get online.

iOS is the operating system running on all iDevices.

my last overseas trip was done using an iPad and an Airport Express. Not much use for a laptop these days as I tend to travel light
