Hi all

I am finding Yahoo (Xtra) email erratic since upgrading to iOS5.

It takes ages to check mail, and does not show new email. I noticed this when Push doesn't seem to work with Yahoo. Google shows similar issues for some.

If I hard restart iPhone4 it works fine for the first time. I just tried signing out of Yahoo and that got new mail quick. Don;t know if coincidental yet. Given that I stay signed in all the time (signed in, not with Yahoo Promail open) it is a bit of a pain.

Any others with this, and any solutions?

Cheers

I know Telecom are aware of this, but unsure if there is a fix.

I will check tomorrow. This is a Yahoo issue as Google shows. I've tried a few things, no real result, its ok now, but its been erratic.I've seen fixes to change password but that makes no sense, or to use IMAP config, which I don't wish to do.

Still fine, whether I am logged into Yahoo, or if Yahoo isnt running but I am signed in, so all seems back to normal now. If your iPhone has been running continually, you may wish to turn it off, then on, as Yahoo must have fixed the issue, and I do see more changes to Yahoo Promail, new icons. This recent email issue occurred the same time as a few minor changes to Yahoo webmail. I am sure these are all related, from what I have experienced

You must be lucky. Unfortunately I still have the issue.

Hi there. All is fine here, as it was before these Yahoo interface changes. Do you have email on the iPhone set as per the Yahoo config? This is just the email address and password. Or are you using a POP setup?
