I am looking for a cheap Android TV box with remote (or Harmony database) to do some experimenting with. Don't care too much about specs or model or gaming, I just want something that can stream Internet TV. Would prefer with Kodi installed (and no, I don't mean 'fully loaded'), around $50-$60.

You could import a Fire TV stick? Sure it'll be a few dollars extra (not that many dollars though) but you're also able to sideload Kodi onto it and many other Android apps. The other option is either a Raspberry Pi or the Vero 4K.

Do you have a reasonably specced android phone? If so consider a chromecast. Your phone will essentially become your remote. Kodi runs just fine on my Samsung S6 which I can then cast to chromecast. Same with the Netflix & Hulu apps.

Admittedly this is not my primary streaming device (Nvidia Shield TV), but for the price the chromecast is hard to beat.

I bought an M8S box off AliX. The particular model/offer is sold out but there are plenty of M8S boxes still on offer.

If I wanted another, I would just order one of those again. The latest ones have 4K outputs and run Android 6.
