It's an Acer easyStore H340 that was refurbished by Acer into H341 - essentially, they put in a better motherboard with a hyperthreading Atom CPU. I still feel guilty that while it was away being refurbished I got myself a Synology DS - that was betrayal it didn't deserve.

Condition:

  • Cosmetics - as new. It was well cared for when it was being used, and since then it's been stored away.
  • Hardware - problem free. Boots up, and is as quiet as it's always been, the unit hasn't been really in use since it's been refurbished. One minor issue - the bottom HDD tray has the hinges of the flap broken. It doesn't affect the operation, or the look of the unit.
  • Documentation and disks - all present. I've got the original restore disk, the client software disk, and all the manuals.
  • Software - ahem. I've got the original WHS OS on a 2.5'' HDD. Don't ask me why, I'm guessing that was the HDD I had lying around at the time, so that's what they used to mirror it onto. Problem is - even though the server boots up and all, I haven't managed to log into it. I think the problem is between the chair and the computer, but don't have the time to start looking into it.
  • I also have the original Hitachi 1TB HDD that came with the server, and a Seagate ST1000DM003 1TB HDD that I believe I've used with it at some stage. I'll check the condition of both and post here if there is any interest.
Please note - first come first served, "as is" basis.
If you're outside of Auckland and can't pick up - I can ship to you, but you cover the costs.

I'll answer any questions in this thread, but if you've decided you want it - Please PM me.

Ok looks like we've got a winner. You know who you are. If the winner changes his mind I'll be in touch with the second in the queue and so on.
