Well, as per subject, there's a sizable number of drives up for grabs!

Each drive has been:
- Drive wiped and "Zero'ed" (secure erased)
- Quick SMART and drive fitness test performed, and passed

Here are the specs and price for each type/lot:

Seagate Barracuda ES.2 250GB

Model: ST3250310NS
Capacity: 250GB
Spindle Speed: 7200rpm
Cache: 32MB
Interface: SATA 3Gbps
Type: Enterprise
Date of Manufacture: July 2009
Warranty: YES, until 2014-08-06 (~4 months left)

Was a production spare.

1 available, for $25.00

Western Digital Caviar SE16 750GB

Model: WD7500AAKS
Capacity: 750GB
Spindle Speed: 7200rpm
Cache: 16MB
Interface: SATA 3Gbps
Type: Desktop Performance
Date of Manufacture: November 2007
Warranty: NO

These were ex-workstation/desktop drives, then became spares after upgrades for the past year or so.

4 available.
- $45.00 each
- $160.00 for all 4 drives (=$40.00 each) with free shipping included

Western Digital Black 1TB

Model: WD1001FALS
Capacity: 1TB
Spindle Speed: 7200rpm
Cache: 32MB
Interface: SATA 3Gbps
Type: Desktop Performance
Date of Manufacture: August 2008
Warranty: NO

This was an ex-workstation/desktop drive, then became spare after upgrade for the past year or so.

1 available, for $60.00

And now, the main event...

Seagate Constellation ES 2TB

Model: ST2000NM0011
Capacity: 2TB
Spindle Speed: 7200rpm
Cache: 64MB
Interface: SATA 6Gbps
Type: Enterprise / Cloud Storage
Date of Manufacture: June 2011 or October 2011
Warranty: YES, until 2016-09-03 (2 years 5 months) or 2016-10-12 (2 years 6 months)

These were ex-production spares, hardly actually been used/spun up other than the occasional test.

10 available, split across 2 manufacture batches (see above, useful if you want to grab all of them for a large RAID)
- $140.00 each
- $260.00 for 2 drives (=$130.00 each)
- $500.00 for 4 drives (=$125.00 each)
- $900.00 for 8 drives (=$112.50 each) with free shipping included
- $1000.00 for all 10 drives (=$100.00 each) with free shipping included

Priority will be given for someone who wants all 10 drives, then in the largest lots within the next day or so.

Considering an Enterprise grade 2TB 7200rpm such as the Seagate Constellation CS or ES.2 currently goes for around $180.00 to $190.00 (according to PriceSpy), I think my price is quite competitive for barely used drives with half the drive's warranty length left.

Unless otherwise stated above, shipping is extra.
You can also arrange for a pick up around Ellerslie/Penrose/Mount Wellington area in Auckland.

Ideally I'd like to clear them by Friday morning (as I'll be out of town this weekend).

Send me a PM me if you are interested!

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

Well sometimes it's a slow-week. Perhaps end of March is one of those.

Sent you a PM regarding the drives.

Must be a slow week...

So 4 of the 2TB Seagate Constellation ES are gone, meaning I still have 6 remaining.

I'll do a price of $700.00 (=$116.67 each) with FREE NZ Wide shipping included for all 6 to lure any buyers still sitting on the fence.

Of course if you only want 2 or 4, feel free to flick me a message and grab 'em.

All the other drives are still up for grabs, and now accepting any (reasonable) offers on them.

I could be interested in some of the 2TB drives, but not for a couple more weeks.  If they are still around then let me know.

All of the 2TB drives have now been sold. Thanks guys.

And I will be lowering the price on the remaining drives until next week, when they'll go up on Trade Me.

Seagate Barracuda ES.2 250GB (with ~4 months factory warranty still)
- $20.00 pick-up, or $25.00 shipped NZ Wide

Western Digital Caviar SE16 750GB
4 available.
- $35.00 each
- $130.00 for all 4 drives (=$32.50 each) with free NZ Wide shipping included

Western Digital Black 1TB
- $45.00 pick-up, or $50.00 shipped NZ Wide

Any offers done and money paid/transferred before the bank's cut-off for processing tonight (Thursday 27-03 10pm) will have the drive shipped first thing tomorrow. Otherwise I'll check again when back in town next Monday evening.

- $90.00 for all 3 drives with NZ Wide shipping included
