Cellprint remote printing service.
Cellprint is for sale. This is a unique opportunity to get into a tech startup at grass roots and make it your own. The opportunity offered is a turn-key solution to get you in the door on a high tech business. The system uses inexpensive GSM (cellphone connection) or wifi thermal (reciept) printers to print information submitted to the cellprint servers through a simple API. An API provides a interface for developers to easily access the printers.

How can I make money from this?
We have used these printers in conjunction with an online ordering system and charged a fee of around $60 per month. You could sell the printers out right and charge a lower fee for access to the API or sell API access to a third party or even charge a per order charge. For example we had a site that would get at least 100 orders per day we could have charged 10 cents per order which would have been highly acceptable.. These printers are already used widely so vendors need to keep stock locally, you can offer an in between drop-ship service relieving the logistics to these vendors while charging for the service. This product has many applications most untouched.

Who else does this?
At the moment industries that use these printers have created bespoke solutions there is currently no business offering a complete solution for everyone.

If it is so great why is it for sale?
Young family and simply don’t have the time or time to find the backing to drop a full time job to focus on this product.

What doesn’t it do?
It does not provide an online ordering service, only a method to print the orders.

How does it work?
Cellprint uses low cost GSM (cellphone connected) printers that connect (in NZ)  via 2Degrees or Vodafone. You may opt for a telemetry account or Prepay account to connect the printers via a SIM card. Alternatively some printer models come with wifi and can connect to the clients local network. Running the printers via the cellphone network should not cost you more than $10 per month. The printers are pre-programmed by you via a simple PC based application. The programming sets defaults within the printer as well as binding to the Cellprint server. Once the printer is programmed it should not have to be touched again. Theoretically you would purchase a batch of printers from the supplier, program them and dispatch them for drop shipping. They could be shipped anywhere in the world at this point as the connection is reliant on a local SIM. You may need to check local compliance regulations but the printers are CE certified. Once the printers are programmed you can issue them to the field. Each printer is uniquely identified and this can be assigned to an individual or multiple groups of API users. An API user is issued a login and password at registration which gives them access to their pool of printers. Using (y)our simple API developers can easily print to each printer. Once a job is submitted the printer will collect it, print it and sound a loud alarm waiting for confirmation. This process is significantly more reliable than say a tablet or txt message as the alarm simply can’t be ignored. The user then has the option to accept, reject or accept and send a message back to the cellprint server. Depending on how the API user configures the result it can be sent to either an email address, webhook or SMS message. The printers can also be configured to automatically accept all jobs skipping the requirement to intervene. All steps of the process can be monitored preventing any chance of a missed order. The system also has a watchdog which will alert an email address should an order go ignored.

Why don’t I just build this myself?
Yep, you absolutely could but you would miss the 4+ years experience we have had with this product. We have worked with the manufactures to have rock solid firmware and customizable printing. This product has been in the field and functions flawlessly so there is no more guess work. It’s ready to roll.

What do I get?

  • Full training on the backend.
  • Full training on printer programming.
  • All the related urls and social media accounts.
  • Contact details for the supplier in China.
  • All software written for the project.
  • Small cache of printers.
