My electric gate came with 2x 8Ah batteries, but shorty after install I've change it to an LiFePO4 battery pack I made myself.  These 2 have been sitting on my shelf for about a year with periodic top-up charge to keep them alive.  Make me an offer.  Terminals are the larger quick connect type, not the smaller ones found on Pick-up in East Auckland.  Not sure if any courier would ship it (as it is dangerous goods), but open to suggestions.

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

are you sure they are DG, if they are AGM/VRLA like I think they are they only need marked 'Non Spillable', thia in itself can confuse couriers to the point they require MSDS etc so if its AGM I'd just make sure terminals have something on them to prevent shorting and they are good to courier.

It only says "sealed lead-acid", but I'm sure it would be AGM/VRLA.  One of them have a label with lots of warning signs (including high voltage!) in Chinese and English.  Looks similar to standard 7Ah alarm/UPS batteries, but I know it has the slightly larger size quick connect terminals (alarm batteries we stock at work have smaller quick connect terminals).  It comes with the original plastic covers for the positive terminals to prevent short circuit during transport.

yes it will be AGM then so don't worry about couriers, it will be same dimensions as the & & 9 AH but different plate thickness.

Larger size terminals are used in ups use as well. Pbtech seem to mix them up when selling them.

as they are 8ah are they slight taller than normal 7ah ones?

95mm tall, don't have a 7Ah to compare.  $15 for both, else I'll have to dump these perfectly good batteries.

Evening is fine for pick-up, mostly Mondays and Tuesdays.  I work very close to home so daytime is not a problem either.

Know the feeling, why would you drive to the other side of town.  Been at the same address and job for 14 years.
