Hi guys.

**Pick Up Only** **Wellington**

We are getting a bin shortly and looking to throw a few things out. We have come across this cabinet. It's in great condition.  It has a varnish/polish to it, not entirely sure what the correct wording is. It looks too good to throw out, and it might be quite expensive also. Its in really good condition, has been looked after. Comes from a smoke and child free home.

Please PM me ASAP.

Looking for around $50 or so, but open to offers.

Again, Pick Up only and Pick Up is in Wellington.

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

I think you mean Varnished. If it vanished you will struggle to get $50 for it, unless it's part of a magic show :)

Here are the pictures. It has been owned for over 25 years, so of course there is going to be some dings and dongs. I made sure I took pictures of them.

More important info, the measurements.

Height: 38.5cm

Width: 35cm

Length:70.5cm

Weight: Not sure, but wouldn't want it to fall on your foot :)

Edit: Also the middle shelf can be taken out.

Definitely doesn't look vanished :) Sorry I am in Auckland so at best I can crack jokes and hope you find a "serious" buyer, or at least an audience that will pay you $50 to "varnish" it :)

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure what the type of wood is, it looks shiny in places anyway :)

It's weight is about 191 Decibels if dropped on your foot from 10cm :)

Ok that was the last one, but I'm here all week!

Hey, I look at quite a bit of furniture for some reason and thought i'd just make some observations you might want to consider.

- The timber looks to be a veneer on a MDF/Chipboard substrate rather than solid timber. Is this right?

- There appears to be some water staining on the inside of the back panel which, if so, doesn't tend to do so well with engineered timbers.

Because of the above you're looking a little high in your price estimate. You might be able to sell it to the salvation army, or similar, but I wouldn't think they'll on sell it for more than $15 or so. Regardless it looks like a solid little cabinet and would be decent for some students.
