Hiya,

My Dad's mate is looking for a laptop for simple stuff like internet, email, storing photos and cd's. He's very computer illiterate, so this doesn't need to be a top end machine.

He spends alot of time up far north, and has a house there with no phone line. I also doubt there will be any BB coverage there.

So we are looking at Vodafone or Telecom wireless for him, so a PCMIA (sp?) slot is required.

Other than that, 60-80gb, Win XP, CD writer would be nice (DVD writer wouldn't get used)

PM me if you have anything suitable. Any comments on Vodafone/Telecom coverage up around Bay of ISlands? Whangaroa in particular?

Cheers
Aaron
