I'd suggest looking at something like facebook marketplace but like, most things there are stolen or I just think that..
Failing that a member here might be able to assist!

Cheers

Regardless where you get a tablet, highly recommend a decent powerbank as well, then at least if it does go flat, you can charge it on the go.

Noted Sir! I have a normal powerbank like 5000mAh but will see if i can find another one.

Its an unplanned travel and I don't have much time left to go. Hoping for the best and trying to prepare as much as I can :)

Portable DVD player? Some airlines used to rent them. They must be pretty cheap now. Burn a custom DVD full of Peppa Pig and you are home free. Obviously a tablet is better but this might also work as a low cost alternative.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Moving parts mean batteries don't last nearly as long, and not normally USB rechargeable (which some planes have).

Some use non-rechargeable batteries so you can bring spares (as long as they aren't lithium).

Most also have a SD and USB on them to play files off that as well.

Little kids don't care about the size of the screen.  Why can't you just put the clips on your phone?

Screen time and battery life on a phone =/= screen time on a tablet.. Plus the OP might like to use their phone, either on the plane or on landing.
