Hi guys!
I have 2 servers in great condition that I have used for virtualisation. My homelab doesn't have sufficient cooling so I have decided to replace them with consumer grade hardware with better cooling.
1. SuperMicro SuperServer 2x E5-2630V3 (16C/32T) 32GB DDR4
SuperMicro SuperServer 7048R-C1R4+ in very clean condition
32GB DDR4 RAM
2 x Intel E52630 V3 @ 2.4GHZ (16 core / 32 thread total)
8 x 2.5 inch Hot Swap Bay
8 x 3.5 inch Hot Swap Bay
Quad ethernet ports on motherboard including IPMI interface
Quad Gigabit Ethernet NIC
1 x LSI SAS Controller
1 x LSI onboard SAS Controller
2 x 920W PSU
have some HDD and SSD's if interested
2. Dell PowerEdge R630 128GB DDR4 RAM - 2x E5-2680v3 24 core, H730
Unit is fully-updated firmware-wise, iDRAC, Lifecycle Controller, etc reset to factory default – it’s ready to deploy.
1U rack
8x16GB DDR4 2133MHZ ECC RAM (128GB total)
Dual Xeon E5-2680v3 CPU (12 cores 24 threads EACH - 24 core 48 thread TOTAL)
Integrated PERC H730 SAS RAID controller
Quad port gigabit NIC
iDRAC Enterprise
Rails, no bezel
dual redundant 750W power supply
includes all caddies - have 1TB SSD's if interested as well.
currently in a rack so can't take the most photos of it - it's running a very fast virtual server at the moment - let me know if you have any questions!
anyone interested? looking at around 2000 for the supermicro and around 3500 for the dell but open to any offers as I have already ordered the replacements :)
