A friend of mine mentioned he got a new dell 24" monitor for $700. It has HDMI, 2x DVI, D-SUB, COMPOSITE, COMPONENT etc etc. And a usb hub to from memory. Maybe check that out?
I have one of the eariler models and I think its an awesome monitor, so the new model can only be better (touch wood)

cool, I have already got one off trade me for $650... pretty sweet deal for an UltraSharp Dell

$700 is not that bad either....
