Can pay reasonable amount depending on the model.

I suggest staying away from the 16" 2019 model if you are going to connect it with external monitors. There's a lot of threads about it (including this one) needlessly overheating even on 1080p displays.

Okay didn't know that, I'll definitely will be plugging into a 4k monitor and have the lid closed. I wonder if this issue is also with older MacBooks.
