Hi,

 

 

 

Unfortunately I have misplaced my ceiling mount for my Nest Protect Gen 2 Battery smoke alarm.

 

Anybody got one lying around they don't use?

 

 

 

Might get one 3D printed at the library, but haven't seen anything other than this one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4332715

 

3D printing at the library is a bit of a crap-shoot.

Where are you based? I have a 3D printer and could always 3D print it for you?

 

I also have Nest Protect's here to test it on.

I'm in Chch. More than happy to pay for your material and the shipping if required. :)

 

I'm trying Google support as well. I have heard in the US they just send out replacements for free. Unlikely here in NZ I'm sure.

The mounts for the mains powered and battery powered units is the same... why not make me an offer?

Mm I think has probably already printed it, but he said he’d test before sending in case it’s bung. :)

Go for the official one - my first print failed overnight and so I'll need to re-print regardless!

 

I'm happy to put another one on the printer if this falls through.
