Native Google apps and support? As in out of the box it comes with Google Play?

Does Google Pay work?

Nature 5G support?

Anything else that isn't compatible?

Thanks.

Hey mate,

Yes to all your questions - Google, 5G, Play Store, etc all work as any other NZ New phone. Xiaomi has no issues in NZ as they are fully supported.

You can also flash Global rom if you want.

Thanks

What is the diff between China ROM and Global other than the language?

Tempting, need to have a think.

I think the main difference is the 4G & 5G frequency bands they support and additional support of CDMA for the Chinese version.

I'd prefer the global version if I was looking at one and also would be interested to know if the Ultra is coming to NZ Mi Stores/PB.

Functionality wise, nothing. Just a few Chinese apps preloaded on Chinese rom as far as I know.

But it takes a few mins to flash global rom anyway if somebody wants to.

Thanks

Incorrect on the 5G and 4g bands. The device is the same whether it's Chinese or nz or any other region. The software is different.

I have the phone with 2 Sims inside (Voda and spark) and both on 5G and LTE.

There is still difference in 4G and 5G bands which don't necessarily affect usage in NZ but elsewhere, e.g. Europe.

So don’t have to sideload google play on it even after a factory reset? If so I am keen on this!

Nope, no sideloading necessary. Google play services are baked into the phone. There's a section in the settings where you enable Google services and that's all you need to do.

Just message me on 0210520870 if you are keen. Thanks
