Wtd: Intel 1150 Cooler

I got a PC but it's missing the cooler from it, found out 1151 coolers don't fit
So does anyone have a spare stock 1150 one laying around?

Are you sure it wont fit because I have gone the other way on my builds I am upgrading to 8th gen from older with my old fancy pants cooler master tower thing with 120mm fans on it from back in the day.

Is it perhaps a propitiatory one like HP/Dell etc are renowned for doing?

As above, unless the motherboard is non-standard, (HP, Dell etc), Intel coolers should fit all sockets from the "Core i" series from 1st gen to 11th gen , (1156, 1155, 1150, 1151, 1200). What caused your 1151 cooler to not fit?

Ahh i thought so, but when i put the cooler on the arms were a bit to short, didn't realize you had to stretch them a bit to get it to fit in.

Was a standard gigabyte board Gigabyte GA-H97M-DH3

All sorted now thanks
