Hi All,

I recently sent my PS3 40Gb off for repair in the original box. The repairers (Fixtronics) and Sony Customer Support, refuse to return the original box with the refurbished unit they are returning to me. Can anyone else help me out?

Thanks,
Jason

Hi MadCat,

No, I'm definitely not using this as an insurance scam. Given that I use my *real name* on GZ and most other forums, I'd have to be incredibly stupid to try a scam like that.

I actually went out and bought a PS3 Slim, and I want a box for my original PS3 40Gb in case I find that I don't get use out of having two PS3s in the house, and need to sell it. I'd have preferred that Fixtronics return my box to me, but that isn't going to happen.

Jason

Thanks, Garvani. Yes, that's funny.

I have two PS3s. But only one with the original box.
