Hi, we develop mobile apps and need another cheap Android phone to test on.  Happy to look at G1/G2's etc.

Cheers,
Aaron.

Hi, really looking for about half that. Specifically looking for a second had rather than new phone, something that has already depreciated away most of its value. It doesn't have to be a looker, will just be used as a second Android test phone. I think we paid $200 last year for a G1 so that would probably be our upper limit now as well.

Aaron Davidson.

Interesting device. We probably would be interested in one of them if they could be upgraded to Android 1.6.

Just wondering, why not just use the SDK to test?  And set the CPU limits etc to match a similar phone?  Or even use an HTC Rom in the SDK?

Otherwise;

2.1 Rom here :)

Or maybe you can get a cheap second hand i5700, they are really good phones for the price!!!

Naturally we always test in the SDK. But over the years we've found that no matter how much testing you do in the SDK nothing replaces testing it on the actual device. We have a test device already but another would be handy for one its already in use.

Cheers,
Aaron.

Yeah definitely agree on that :), always good to test on physical hardware :)

It is actually running 1.6 - even though the auction suggests otherwise
